Hello, I’m Kate! I started Kate's Furniture in 2019 from our family’s granny flat during the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone was adjusting to working from home. It all began with a free old Ikea desk I found on Marketplace for my son. After upgrading to a better one, I sold the old desk, and that sparked my journey into the furniture business.

Our passion for ergonomic chairs ignited when I first saw a Steelcase Leap chair from a reseller. Since then, my husband and I have become dedicated fans of ergonomic seating. At Kate's Furniture, we specialize in high-quality used ergonomic chairs from top brands like Herman Miller, Steelcase, Humanscale, and Haworth. We also provide essential chair parts to help people extend the life of their favorite chairs.

We are committed to sustainability and actively seek to purchase used ergonomic chairs from offices moving across Australia in large quantities. Running this business as a second job gives us the flexibility to serve our customers on weekdays, as well as after hours, on weekends, and during public holidays.
